I’m wondering if a change can be made in Populi to allow for people with the Registrar Role to ALWAYS be able to see the Registration Tab. We find the information that we can view there to be very valuable to us throughout the year. I understand that removing it from the view of students who can no longer register makes complete sense. But if the Registrar Office could see it year around, that would be such a help.
The biggest deal for us is everything is in one nice, organized place. The Registration Tab shows us the Section Code which tells us if it’s a term, module or semester course and the name of the instructor. Most importantly, it shows us the Delivery Method. Our students take courses Campus - Mississauga, On Campus – Saskatoon, In Person – Hub, Livestream, Video on Demand, Online Video or Directed Study. Most of these options can be offered for one single course.
All the different options are of incredible benefit to our students catering to what works best for them and their schedules. However, for us as staff, it can be a bit of a challenge for tracking and advising.
We really like having one place we can go to and see everything at a glance. The Registration Tab has been that for us. The only other place we can find the Delivery Method is to go to the individual course rosters. Now that registration has closed for Term B, the Registration Tab for the Fall semester is no longer available for view – neither for the student nor for the staff.
Please consider keeping the Registration Tab viewable for Registrar Office staff year-round.
