I don’t see a way to change the font, spacing, or other basic formatting options in the Populi lesson content. It only has preset option, which are limited and often take up more space than needed or don't fit my needs in other ways. Can there be a button to expand editing tools - just some basic stuff, even to fix problems with Populi's editor messing up the formatting on a paste.
I develop learning plans in OneNote, a program with very simple and streamlined formatting options, and I paste from there. Text and lines of text appear to be identical to each other in OneNote – no formatting changes between. Then, when I paste them into a Populi lesson, they change - items in lists formatting identically take on different formats in Populi.
It often double-spaces text unnecessarily or leaves extra space between lines that should be close together (e.g., lists), and there doesn’t seem to be a way to fix it if you don’t know the coding. For instance, I change the size of several lines to 14 in the Populi editor, but the text is still visibly uneven (not a good example to students of consistent formatting), even though I set it to the same size.
Populi often doesn’t keep the visible formatting of the source. It turns single-spaced items to double-spaced and sans font into serifs, and you can’t change it back.
I didn’t see any knowledge base articles on font and formatting. Is there a way to have more formatting options? I suppose I could edit and paste from Word, or another app with more controls, but I still wouldn't be able to adjust things in the lesson itself, which is often helpful or necessary.
