I would like the ability to change the student view default during registration from show “available” courses to show “all courses”. We have many students confused (they don’t realize they can change it in the drop down “show”), and they think advertised courses are not being offered (when really it is just a situation they either haven’t met the pre-req or there is a scheduling conflict or faculty consent issue, etc. It makes us look bad to them that we seem to advertise something and then don’t offer it. I have already had several cases of this during this early registration period, and it happened last term registration as well. I try to be clear in our registration instructions to students but it doesn’t seem to be helping. Ability to change this default would help a lot.

Rev. Dr. Michelle Hatcher I agree. It would be helpful for students to see all courses offered even if there is a conflict or pre-req.

Tom Varallo Agree. Registration always happens (for us) while students are still taking classes. That means all the In-Progress classes do not meet prereq requirements for classes in the Registration window.
I suppose an alternate solution could be to allow IP classes to count for pre-req requirements, as a toggle (preferred) or perhaps even as a default. The vast majority of students pass the class that is the prereq for an upcoming class registration.

Adam Sentz Tom Varallo - "That means all the In-Progress classes do not meet prereq requirements for classes in the Registration window." This is not correct. If a student is merely enrolled in a course that course counts as a met prerequisite for subsequent courses. If it doesn't appear to be working like that for you please reach out to Populi Support so we can take a look.
