Shelby Downing I submitted this request to Populi: New IPEDS Reporting Requirements (Survey due 3/18/26):
https://natlawreview.com/article/colleges-and-universities-directed-submit-admissions-data-federal-governmentWhat is the best way to get this information in one report? We need to be able to see the data for each requested field.
Based on the request for comment in the Federal Register, the survey is expected to collect the following admissions information for undergraduates:
Admissions data on applied, admitted, and enrolled cohorts, with breakdowns by test scores, GPAs, income, Pell Grant eligibility, and parental education;
Average high school GPA and admission test scores for applied, admitted, and enrolled cohorts;
Count of students admitted via early action, early decision, and regular admissions.
The survey is expected to collect the following financial aid information for undergraduates:Any institutional grant aid;
Merit-based institutional aid;
Need-based institutional aid; and
Any local, state, or federal government aid overall and disaggregated by admission test scores, GPAs, range of family income, and enrollment via early action, early decision, or regular admissions.
The survey is expected to collect the following information for enrolled undergraduates:Students’ average cumulative GPA at the end of the academic year;
Average cost of attendance, disaggregated by admission test scores, ranges of high school GPAs, ranges of family income, and enrollment via early action, early decision, or regular admissions;
Graduate rates, disaggregated by admission test scores and ranges of high school GPAs; and
Graduates’ final cumulative grade point average.
Institutions will report this data for the 2025-2026 academic year and retrospectively from 2020-2021, with graduation rates data extending back to 2019-2020.The survey proposes separate reporting requirements for graduate student admissions and financial aid.
Shelby Downing Here is a sample file showing everything we are required to provide.
- Example_AY2019-20.xlsx (500 KB)
We at minimum need the financial Aid fields added to the data slicer.
Here is the response I received:
Hi Shelby!
Right now, we do not have an Admissions for IPEDS preset and you won't be able to get all this data from one report in Populi.
Much of that data doesn't have a built-in field in Populi, so you would either need to have been collecting it on applications and report on those application fields in the Admissions > Applications > Fields report, or collect it from students a different way.
If you have any questions about how to find any one particular data point in Populi let me know and I'll take a look.
Thanks!

Jennifer Cake Is there any plan to implement this? Otherwise it seems we will have to run multiple reports across various areas in Populi including admissions, academics and financial aid data, cross reference the various reports OR pull the data manually for each student. It would be SO helpful if we could run it all under one report.
-
Jennifer Cake Shelby Downing How have you been managing collection of this data thus far? Any tips or guidance would be so appreciated.
-
Adam Sentz Jennifer Cake - We are working on this. We hope to have a data export based on existing application and ISIR data available soon.
-
Jackie Lacava Thanks Adam, do we think this will be available prior to the reporting deadline? Any help with a checklist for things to add to new applications would be helpful as well. Glad to know you are working on it.
-
Adam Sentz Here's what I got from the developer working on this:
1) It will be available before the deadline (next week assuming expedited testing) but they will need to review the data and copy and paste it into the report templates before uploading them to the ACTS aggregator tool.
2) We will do our best to fill all the fields based on existing application, isir, financial aid, and test_scores data. -
Ellen Long We don't use Populi for admissions, will we be able to pull the ISIR and financial aid with the solution you are working on? When it is ready where will we find it?
-
Adam Sentz Ellen Long - Yes. It will be found at Academics > Reporting > Preset.

Meghan Glockling Hi! I was working with the ACTS UG Admissions preset report that you have up running, and I think you have the codes mixed up for the Sex field. The ACTS Codebook lists 0 for male and 1 for female, but the reports generated by yours ACTS Preset has it swapped.
-
Tom Varallo I can't seem to find the ACTS Aggregator Tool that is in Preset Reports. Do I need Admissions Admin role to see it? I have Academic Admin, Registrar, and Admissions roles. Or maybe I am not looking in the right place. I have looked at IPEDS, in Fall, Winter and Spring, for 2025-26 Reporting Cycle, and I don't see an ACTS Aggregator Tool in my Survey menu pulldown options.

Adam Sentz Meghan Glockling - Thanks for letting us know, we'll take a look. For any further issues please contact Populi Support here https://support.populiweb.com/hc/en-us/requests/new

Tom Varallo I just wanted to pass along a big "Thank you!" to Populi for the work that was done on the ACTS report. While it did not have every single aspect of the requirement, it was a tremendous help to us. So again, THANK YOU!
-
Brittany Kemlo I agree! Populi Support was very fast with helping us comply with the requirements that were imposed on schools with a very short deadline for compliance. Thank you to each one who provided some assistance in this area.
