The interface does not currently allow cross-listing of two sections of the same course. Allowing this setup would provide the following benefits:
1) We need to cap the aggregate enrollment across multiple sections. This is possible when the sections are in two courses, but not possible when the sections are in the same course.
2) The current Canvas integration creates a separate "course" site in Canvas for every normal section, but combines cross-listed sections into a single site. Allowing cross-listing of multiple sections of the same course on the Populi side could take advantage of this automation. As it stands, we need to manually cross-list on the Canvas side in cases where the professor wishes to run multiple sections of the same course as a single Canvas site.
