Currently, the wording on the public link transcript request form states "I certify that the information on this transcript request is complete and accurate and that I am the student or authorized by the student to request this personal academic information."
We have been advised this is not FERPA compliant.
It would be great if this wording could be changed. A static statement that would be more compliant would be:
"I certify that the information on this transcript request is complete and accurate; that I am the above named student or an authorized representative of the above named student; and by entering my electronic signature below I hereby authorize the educational organization to release the academic transcript to the above named recipient for the purpose of education, employment, financial aid, or other personal reasons, in accordance with FERPA and NC student privacy standards."
Even better would be a dynamic option such as:
of "I certify that the information on this transcript request is complete and accurate; that I am [student name] or an authorized representative of [student name]; and by entering my electronic signature below I hereby authorize [name of school] to release the academic transcript to [recipient name] for the purpose of education, employment, financial aid, or other personal reasons, in accordance with FERPA and NC student privacy standards."
