Some students have visual impairments and use Command + Plus in Chrome on a MacBook to enlarge text. When this shortcut is used during an exam with Test Integrity enabled, Populi exits full-screen mode instead of zooming in and records the action as a full-screen exit.
Attempting to immediately resume full-screen mode, without accessing another application, tab, or window, may cause Populi to freeze. The student must then restart Chrome and reenter the exam, potentially generating additional integrity alerts despite never accessing outside material.
Because the default text may be too small for students with visual-accessibility needs, please consider:
- Allowing students to zoom in during Test Integrity exams without exiting full-screen mode; or
- Providing clear instructions and a warning before the exam begins explaining how to enlarge text safely while remaining in full-screen mode.
