In Academic settings you can select Automatic or a specific term as default. Either the Automatic should prioritize "standard terms" over "non-standard", or create another selection that automatically selects a standard term rather than non-standard as default.

UofA CESL Admissions agree - just had some applications float in with our special summer session, which is non-standard, because the apps are set to use the "next term"
