Individualized Automated Course Due dates

I would like to request the inclusion of an option within each course to set different automatic course close dates for students enrolled. I have tried exploring the "sections" option, but with my student base it creates a crowded workflow. Is it possible to be able to set an automatic course lock/due date specific to the student within the course?
