As we now offer most of our courses in a hybrid format, in-class and live-streamed, it would be extremely useful to have the ability to cross list these. Students would be able to comment on the same discussion boards, easier to navigate for professors with one grade book etc.
i.e. cross-list PSY102-1 (in-class) and PSY102-23 (live-streamed).
I am sure we are not the only school that would appreciate this feature being added.
This would be a very helpful feature for us, as currently some of our faculty just have to manually track which students are in which grouping in a course (in-class vs livestream being just one example of the way a roster could be partitioned). We would rather not invent different course codes for different formats.

Check out this other very similar feature request and consider following it as well. Kirsha and I work at the same institution and would very much like to see this feature request adopted. For us, its been a source of confusion and churn for our faculty. Additionally, being able to cross-list sections with similar course codes would allow our cohorts to share some of the same course content, which we think would make for a better user experience.
We are beginning to test these hybrid sections and would like to see this feature added.
