Most individuals are used to receiving an email to confirm a purchase or a payment. It would be helpful if Populi's system:
1. automatically sent a receipt to an applicant/student when they submit a payment. It would be helpful to associate the name of the application an applicant paid for. Especially, if they applied for two different programs/courses. Some other things to include on the receipt they receive would be elements that the applicant/student and credit card company would recognize as a valid (not fraudulent) transaction.
- applicant's name
- transaction amount and item purchased (example, application fee & name of the application)
- card holder's name, last four digits of the card number used, card expiration date
- payer's email address, billing address, phone number
2. documented that the receipt was emailed to the applicant/student
In the documentation, it would be great to have
- the email address that the financial transaction receipt was emailed to.
- the date/time that the receipt was emailed to the applicant/student
Having the Populi system automatically do this save us in manually sending receipts to each applicant/student. In cases were an applicant or student contests a transaction (and thinks it is a fraudulent transaction), it will help us provide documentation that the transaction was legitimate.
