Since most of my faculty run when I say, "You need to change the alt text for your images in the code." It'd be great if that was already in workflow when someone adds an image. Another way Populi can change to be in compliance with the federal government / ADA Guidelines.

Adam Sentz Matthew Van Matre - You can add alt text to images that you've uploaded to the Files section of the course. In the three-dots menu choose Get Embed Code, and click the pencil icon to exit the alt text. This way you can set the alt-text once and then use the embed code to put that image in as many lessons and tests as needed.
If you need further assistance with this please reach out to Populi Support.

Matthew Van Matre Thanks for that Adam. Looks like a great, future KB article: How to add alt text to images. It's only a 9-step process:
- Upload your image to Files
- Select image file in Files
- Once your image loads in a new tab, select the snowwoman in the upper, far right corner
- Select Get the Embed Code
- Select the pencil icon to add your alt text (Hint: 1-2 sentences using proper grammar. Describe how the image relates to adjacent text)
- Select Save
- Select the copy icon to copy the embed code for the image
- Return to the previous tab, and embed the copied code into editor
- Select Save on the bottom right of the editor
I'd have the wonder girl - Erica knock this one out.
Best,
Matthew

Tim Van Norman Matthew,
Thank you for your explanation.
The issue I am dealing with is the fact that I would like to use an image multiple times in a course and it have different meanings based on context. For instance, an image of a pie chart could be used as an example of a pie chart, a reference to a particular section of the pie chart, a link to a particular resource, etc. These could have different Alt Text, depending on the context.
Is there a way, other than creating a HUGE amount of Alt Text, to facilitate this within Populi?
Thank you,
Tim

Adam Sentz Tim Van Norman - I would just create copies of the file with different names based on how I was going to use them, upload them, and then set the desired alt text.
