Transparency about charging a convenience fee for credit card payments for tuition is of utmost importance. When enabled in Populi, the convenience fee doesn't show up or there isn't even mention of it until you get past the "pay now" screen by choosing credit card, then the convenience fee shows up on the last page where the payment is actually processed. In order to be as transparent as possible, Is it possible to include some sort of disclosure of the fact that there is a fee when the user is making the choice between credit/debit card and e-check? Ideally the fee (% or flat) could be stated there for the consumer as they make their payment method selection. For example, if this convenience fee setting is enabled, might there be a notation under or near the credit/debit card button that says that a convenience fee will be charged? No charge for e-check.
