While designing a test, you can re-use questions already created for other tests. There are four ways to do so (the first three are covered below):
- You can create a new question based on an existing question.
- You can import an existing question.
- You can add a group of existing questions from a category.
- You can also import sections from another test.
After including an existing question in your test, you can then edit it.
Create a new question based on an existing question- Type a word or phrase and select from the suggested results.
- Click Continue to modify the selected question.
- Change any of the question's details to suit your needs. The only item you cannot change is question type.
- Click Save.
Import an existing question
- Type a word or phrase and select from the suggested results.
- Enter the number of points.
- Click Save.
Add a group of questions from a category
This option will assign a random group of questions (in random order) from the category to each individual student's test attempt. Depending on the number of available questions in the category and the options you choose, it's conceivable that no two students will see the same group of questions on their tests.
- Begin typing a category name and select from the suggested results.
- Enter the total number of points and questions. The points will be evenly divided among the questions you import.
