Our institutional policy on withdrawing from courses is as follows:
Students who withdraw from classes after the
second class meeting but before the beginning of
the tenth full week of the semester will receive
a grade of “W” on their permanent record. After
the beginning of the tenth week, the professor
must assign a regular letter grade for the class.
When switching a student role to inactive, all course grades are set to "W." Would it be possible to have a feature that does not allow a grade of "W" after a certain point in the semester? If not, is there a work-around that would allow me to manually adjust the student record in a situation like this?
