Many of the services we use let use use CNAMEs. The primary advantage for us of doing this is that our websites can all be variations on <name>.ambs.edu, which is easier for folks to remember and thus reduces their reliance on bookmarks or a link from another website.
It's not an especially high priority, but it would be nice if we could get to Populi at, say, "populi.ambs.edu."
