Our faculty is requesting that you bring back the feature in the assignments and attendance sections that allowed you to enter comments. Apparently there used to be an icon the teacher could click that would allow them to enter comments on an assignment, or to enter comments related to attendance such as "doctor's excuse." If there's a replacement for that, we're not seeing it. Thanks!

You can see the note on
- the course attendance calendar filtered by student
- the course student page attendance tab
- in Academics > Reporting > Attendance > All Data report.

Adam Sentz @Molly - Populi has always had, and still has a place for faculty to enter comments about a students assignment. They can do this on the Feedback tab of the student assignment page (From the assignment page, click on the student's name).
Populi has never had a place to enter a note about attendance like you described, but that's not a bad idea.
