Give the option of allowing/not allowing students to write tests after the posted due date without having to manually allow each student individually.
Ex. tests could be assigned either a "hard" due date that locks the test after the due date (i.e. what Populi does now), or a "soft" due date that keeps the test open past the due date but flags late completions (like Populi currently does with file-upload assignments).
The current "manual extension" feature should still be kept as is.

This would be a very beneficial option! There are a number of students (e.g., military, those who travel for jobs, etc.) who need different deadlines. Modifying each quiz or discussion per student in every course would be time consuming.
We would like this also!
Additionally, (in the meantime) it would also be great if Populi automatically copied the availability end date to the due date column. This would be helpful for students and faculty reviewing upcoming due dates, since the availability time frame does not show the due date (or end date) as easily at a glance.
