I think that the ability to chat with students is a great thing. I would like to suggest that you develop a way that a professor can be in the chat room (virtual office hours) and still work in Populi. Right now I can start a chat but then that is all that I can do in Populi. When I click on another tab (to grade assignments for instance) the chat disconnects. I am thinking something akin to Messenger.

Adam Sentz @Aaron - You should be able to have a course chat room open in one tab or browser window while doing other things in Populi in another.

Aaron Baldridge I tried it again this afternoon in Google Chrome instead of Safari and it still had me logged in when I came back to the chat room. Yesterday when I used Safari it had kicked me out. Weird, but thanks for letting me know that it should work. If I find that it gives trouble going forward I will reach back out to you.

Adam Sentz It's possible you were logged out due to inactivity, or because you logged in somewhere else. If you'd like to stay logged in on a particular computer you can set that computer to be a trusted device on your Settings > Security page. You get there by clicking on your name at the top right, choosing Settings, and then Security,
