ID Photo Rotation

Since I have been given the task of printing off ID's for my institute's students, staff, and faculty, I have noticed that when I am given a photo by someone that I cannot rotate it to the proper orientation. Sometimes the photo is already in the proper orientation before I drag&drop it into the photo editor, but when it is inserted it changes the rotation so the photo is on its side. I think it would be beneficial if the photo editor allowed for rotating as well as cropping within the software being used or when it is updated.
