In offering remedial courses (math, writing, etc.) it would be extremely helpful to set a grade threshold. Student failing to master 90% of the content would have to repeat the quiz or assignment until achieving the stated goals.
A current work around I am trying is to set assignments to Closed until the student masters the content - thus acting as the "gate keeper". However, It seems a fairly easy fix (to a non coder) and is used by Blackboard and other LMSs.
