I often have people ask me "in the past 5 years...[fill in the blank e.g. how many students came from Southern Manitoba]". Currently I have to filter in all the potential terms with their different programs within that range. I would love to be able to filter the terms by a range rather than selecting each term individually or to be able to filter by academic year - which would at least shorten the filters to 1 per year instead of 3-10 per year.

Christopher Sumpter Absolutely. We have multiple online terms that overlap with traditional terms. The filters I have to write in data slicer are hair-raising.

Dee McOwen I support this request. Questions such as these are also asked of our office.
One significant deficiency I have noticed in the data slicer filter options is the ability to set the Academic Year as a condition (or multiple academic years). So often, I would like to have the ability to query on a full academic year or range of years which would encompass all terms within the year. I know I can get there by selecting each term in the year, however, then I need to add about a dozen or so more filters when one could suffice.
Example: I want to include all students within the year (this would give me students who studied in one term but not another). I would like to add the custom field "Program Candidacy" on the column tab of the report.
I used to use that as a query filter in our former SIS all the time and miss that ability.
Thanks,
