Our Academic Dean and advisers need an easy way to see how students are doing throughout the course of the semester, so that they can offer help to struggling students and identify areas of potential weakness.
My suggestion is to add a menu link in the Academics tab under the "ACADEMIC TERM" heading called "Performance". It should be in table form, similar to the Attendance link. It should show their in-progress Term GPA.
Or, to simplify things, you could fix the Students Table so that the Term GPA is accurate for in-progress terms (instead of showing 0.00), or add the in-progress Term GPA field to the Attendance section and change the name to reflect the combination of data.
Regardless of what the summary page is called or how it looks, THIS IS THE IMPORTANT PART:
You should be able to click on each student's name, or a "More Info" link, and go to a page that lists the student's performance in each course for the term. We need to be able to see, on a class-by-class breakdown: Attendance, and individual gradebook items. For example, so we can see if they've been submitting their assignments, etc.
