I often use the student table to email a specific group of students that I otherwise can't access. As customizable as the filter options in the student table is, I find it sometimes impossible to generate a list that excludes (or includes, for that matter) everyone that I want the email to go out to. It might be a nice feature if, after running a filter on the student table, there was (say on the left hand side of the resulting student "returns") a check box by each student name allowing you to exclude or block a particular student from an email list, etc.

Adam Sentz @Jonathan - The Data Slicer (found in the Academics section) lets you build more complex filters and email the matched contacts. Maybe give that a shot.

Christal Fehr Here's a related request... first of all, I do like the ability to filter as Jonathan requests, but I would like that extended even further to other areas. For example, we've had advisors wanting to email the students in their advising group, but would like the ability to filter out certain students depending on the type of email. Would be great to have that same type of check box in this situation. I don't think Advisors have access to the data slicer so that wouldn't work in this case.
