The term statements seem confusing to students. There is one simple change that could make it so much more intuitive:
If the "Payment Received" line in the Summary could be changed to "Non-Financial Aid Payment Received", that would make it so much more clear. Then it would read like an equation (Charges - FA - Scheduled FA - Non-FA Payments = Amount Due).
As it is, it looks like an equation, but it doesn't add up. This simple change could make a world of difference.
