Currently when a Refund to Student or Refund to Source are added to a students Financial Aid page it does not change the Financial Aid information on the By Term page. That works fine for a refund that is going to the student because the funds that created the credit balance were awarded and disbursed to the student. Of course nothing should change on the by term information, it needs to be reflected as total amount awarded and disbursed. However, when there is a refund made "to the source" that means that the student is no longer receiving those funds. Therefore, the By Term page should be updated to show the correct amount that was actually disbursed to the student. In most cases the "Awarded" amount will not change but the disbursed amount could very well change especially in reference to the loans. Sometimes students will cancel their loan or a portion of their loan after the funds have been posted to their account and we have to send the funds back to the government loan program. It would make sense that the By Term page should reflect the correct amount of money that was actually disbursed to the student. I am not an IT person but in my thinking, if you can award and disbursed the aid by term you should be able to refund it to the source by term with out much trouble.
