I would be willing to be part of a user group of Populi users (and sub-groups according to user functions) that would review the enhancement requests to organize them, solicit user feedback, and work with Populi staff to prioritize and assess possibilities. There are a lot of requests out there but I find it a bit difficult to go through them and give support. This is done with another SIS program I used and it worked very well. What do you think?

This is an interesting concept Carla. Populi is fantastic and has been a boon for our institution. However, one of the downsides of purchasing a college management database rather than rolling-your-own is that it is more difficult to see new features come to fruition. There are a number of outstanding things that we would love to see (like better schedule/calendaring of course times, improved user/group functionality, etc.). Again, Populi has been fantastic, and they are wonderful to work with. Their tech support is incredibly responsive and the product is overall very good. And Populi folks - I know you can't implement every single feature that folks request, that would be sooo much work.
Maybe your idea of a user group to collate the feature requests would help us all. One the things I keep telling my users when they ask for new ways of working is that I have little to no ability to influence the developer.
I agree this is an interesting concept. As a fairly newer user to Populi, I like the system and the support staff is incredible as you have indicated. There seems to be so many feature requests, and often several are similar, and sometimes expand on an original request. As they are submitted separately, it may not always appear that the idea is supported by others.
