Search option to aggregate students who have not yet taken one class

I desperately need a way to determine which courses to offer in the next three quarters and know that our students can progress forward in a timely manner. 

So I need an easy way to sort by courses and see the names and academic level of students who have not taken the class (and if possible also see what classes they have taken so I know if they have met the class prerequisites).

 Please help in any way you can because right now we are using an excel spreadsheet and it is cumbersome, inefficient and has huge holes in the process.

  I was hoping for a feature to do this as well. We need to be able to look at our student body and figure out how many students haven't taken a certain class so that we can decide if it needs to be offered in the next term or academic year.

  I was just coming on to see if there is a solution for this in the knowledge base.  I have found a way in Data Slicer to *almost* get what I need.  I need to produce a list of students who have not yet had certain classes. (So do we need to offer this class next year for students who might be graduating, etc).  The issue I have is that while Data Slicer will give me a list of students who have not yet "passed" the class, that list also includes students who may have had the class waived, transferred credits in, etc.  I still end up having to look at each degree audit for each student individually.  So, for anyone from Populi who may read this:  I need the ability to run a report that tells me for students with an anticipated graduation date between X and X, how many still do not have X course requirement satisfied?  Not just "passed." ("Satisfied" may come from having passed it, having it waived, or having units for it transferred in.)
