If you send an email template with variables to a list of people and copy others, Populi treats all recipients the same. Even if you are listed in the CC field, your information will be filled into the variables. This gets awkward when you email a student and CC the dean. The dean ends up getting an email that looks like they are being addressed, when really it was the student that was being addressed. It would be great if CCs could end up seeing these emails more passively. Perhaps they would just see the variables themselves so they know what kind of email they are being copied on.

Sue Lamphere I am running into this problem a lot right now. All of the faculty members are questioning why I misaddressed the emails to their new advisees. Please fix this issue!
