Advisors need a place to make notes for each individual student regarding advising contacts, meetings, and other relevant information. This would be cumulative, with a date and time stamp for each note. It could be referred to when meeting with advisees.
Currently the only notation is available when locking registration, and even then, only the most recent note is kept.
@Paul - So you're thinking of something that shows up under Advising instead of just using Activity Feed notes with the appropriate visibility?
I took a look at this, and while it is good, it requires a lot of steps to make the feed for the advisor, then sort the past feeds. It would be great if there could be an advising notes column showing up just like the registration notes when viewing the list of advisees. And also, ALL the notes, not just the last note. If I am advising a student, I want to see a list of notes showing when I last spoke to them or what courses or majors were discussed and decided upon for/by that student. I would refer back to these notes when planning future schedules or a graduation plan. It would be great if these notes could also show up in the feed (for view by advisor and that student).

Also, is there a way to see past notes that I entered when finalizing a registration lock? Only the most recent entry shows up? I made notes about course changes that I would like to be able to access and for historical reasons, document why decisions were made to enroll or drop classes and the date that occurred.
@Paul - Thanks for the input. The Lock notes are just single use right now.
A notes section on the Degree Audit page would be great.
