Payments made through Populi are applied based upon POSTING DATE, as opposed to DUE DATE.
Example:
Invoice for $250 posted 2/17, due 5/2. Invoice for $4.77, posted and due 2/26. Payment of $4.77 on 3/8 is applied to the $250, leaving a nastynote about still being overdue on the $4.77.
Can we get this corrected?
Similar to this - if there are several items on an invoice and you want to apply a payment plan to some of the items, when a payment is made, instead of applying to the amount that is due now, populi automatically applies the payment to the payment plan. This messes up the payment information for the student, looking like he made an early payment on the payment plan but leaving an overdue amount on the account. The amount overdue and the amount paid are equal while the amounts on the payment plan are different, but it applies it to the payment plan instead of the matching amount that is overdue. Why? Can a setting be added to payments received so we can apply it the correct item within the invoice?
