We could benefit greatly from a feature in the attendance that sends an alert when a student has missed a certain amount of classes. I would imagine this would benefit any school that needs to track attendance related to government funding.

Adam Sentz @Luciano - Not exactly the same, but if you utilize Populi's minimum attendance threshold feature a student will be alerted if they are failing a course for non-attendance. If you'd like more info about how to set that up just contact support.

Sarah Barkman Currently the minimum attendance threshold feature alerts a student if they have exceeded the maximum non-attendance level. It would be great if a warning could be issued before they reached that point. For example if the minimum threshold was [80%] it would be great if a warning was issued at [85%].
Along the same lines it would be great if faculty/ registrar would be able to see the grade of FN earlier. Currently the FN grade only shows up in a course after the course has been finalized and there is no warning/alert for the faculty.

Adam Sentz @Sarah - Course faculty get the same type of alert the student does when one of their students is failing for attendance. Minimum attendance threshold is still very new so we definitely welcome any feedback about how we might improve it going forward. I think it would be cool for students to be able to see how many tardies or absences they can afford in their courses. All of this requires course meetings to be set up 100% correctly so we wanted to give people some time to wade into it before introducing additional automation.

Peter Neumann Our Registrar's Office needs to be notified at the same time as the teacher and student, otherwise the teacher needs to email the Registrar's Office about this notice as soon as it's issued. Due to government funding (OSAP), we need to keep absence records, and it is not up to the teacher to excuse absences or not. It seems to me that it should be up to the educational institution to philosophically decide who gets notified of what. Populi has decided (philosophically) that this should be a matter between teacher and student, but really that is probably overstepping philosophical boundaries. Please create a checkbox to allow institutions to decide who receives notifications. This would simplify things considerably. Thanks.

Benji Swafford Can an alert be sent to students and teachers if the student is on the verge of failing due to non-attendance? To my understanding, they are currently only alerted when they've missed too many classes. Is that correct? If so, could we also alter them before this happens?

Abigail Apacible Good morning, any updates on this alert feature? and how do we set it in our account? can we upload the schedule as CVS?
