Perhaps, a feature could be added, so that once a assignment, discussion or chat is created, there would be a "red flag" ( or another color) so that the instructor would be reminded to grade it. This red flag would stay there until the issue has been resolved. I create discussions not through the assignments page but from the discussion page (if that makes sense). If it is done through the assignments page (with a deadline already established), is this already done?
