There is dire need for a feature that enables an administrator to see things from any student's perspective (ideally, also a Teaching Assistant, Staff, etc.) in real time without logging into their account.
Many of our students are struggling with Populi, and since our view is so different from theirs, we are limited on how much we can help them. (Which makes us look very incompetent). We also have trouble knowing which role to give members of our staff without giving access to confidential information. The role descriptions help, of course, but again, we need to be able to teach them how to work within their role.
The only way this is possible right now, from what I understand, is to make a test student - but this non-existent person then is included on our rosters and grade book, which causes problems and a great deal of extra work (not to mention that we have to PAY for that non-existent person.)
Every other system like Populi that I've used as had an option to change your perspective based on a specific role WITHOUT logging out of your own account.
Please add this feature. This would significantly decrease the amount of confusion headaches and computers being thrown out the window.
