Course Extentions/Exceptions

The extension option for Assignments is incredibly useful but having an extension for a Course (that extends past the course end date) would be even more so.

Example: For our internships, students are allowed to file a 30 day extension for patient visits, up to 90 days - which is after the program ends.

Currently there is no option for this other than extending the course date, which negatively effects other students logins, finalizing/sending transcripts for completed students as well as some reporting.

  @Carissa - Good news! Exceptions can already go past the course end date and allow, for example, a student to submit coursework after the end date of the course.

  @Adam - Yes! For Assignments - but we would have to add 50 Assignments in a single course for patient visits (even with 1 or 2 students filing for extensions, manually managing that many Assignments take a lot of manpower), hence the request for a course extension for specific students.

  @Carissa - I think perhaps I'm not understanding your use case if you aren't using assignments to submit coursework. I see that you have an open support request on this issue; if you can give us more detail about exactly what you need to do we might be able to recommend something.

  I am having to 'pick up the slack' due to my office being hit with Covid. I am in an emergency and need instructions how to extend classes for a student. Where do I go to do this? Thanks
