From what I understand, there is nowhere in Populi for students to submit an official request to withdraw, go on a leave of absence, or change programs/degrees/courses. It would be helpful to allow students to submit such requests via Populi in much the same way that they request official transcripts. I believe at least having this feature as an option would be something to explore. The student tab could, for example, have a "Request a Change of Program" option...These features could be tied to student information fields, system tags, statuses, automatically generated emails, approvals, etc. This would also reduce the use/cost of paper.

Adam Sentz Jackie Lacava - Folks are definitely using Forms for this. Right now you'd have to send the form to the student, but we're planning to add a way for students to find fillable forms on their own.

Chanin King Ideally, a student would be able to select a "Withdraw from Course" option, confirm their request, and then receive a policy notification explaining the academic consequences of withdrawing (for example, how the withdrawal will be reflected on their transcript, applicable deadlines, and any related institutional policies). After reviewing the notice, the student would complete a second confirmation before the withdrawal is processed.
This feature would provide students with a clear understanding of the consequences of their decision while creating a more streamlined and documented withdrawal process for both students and administrators. I envision it functioning similarly to dropping a course, but for withdrawals that occur after the add/drop period has ended.
