Creating and sending acceptance letters can be time consuming, therefore I would like to recommend that a new variable be added titled "program" that pulls information from the system about their program of study. The variable could be titled simply "program". "Course of study" could also be used with the same result, as far as I can tell. This would be useful in various communications beyond acceptance letters, by setting those communications to automatically pull that information into the letter template.
The current option, "recipient major" pulls from degree specializations with three requirements that make it impossible to be used in the acceptance letter process. The requirement that their active date not be in the future makes this feature useless in this area, because it doesn't make sense for us to make a student an active user before they have paid their tuition deposit.
