Not excused attendance option

Is it possible that we can add a not excused option for attendance ?

  @Ryan - Can you elaborate a bit more about what a "not excused" option would signify? Specifically, how would it be different from Absent?

  Hello Adam,

  When students submit an Excused Absence Request Form, in some occasions it gets denied by the dean. In the system we used before we could add a comment to each attendance status like "Request not approved by the dean". If this is not possible it would be helpful to have an extra attendance status like "Not Excused" or "Disapproved". 

  Is this practicable? If not, what would be a good solution for that?

  @Ryan - The statuses aren't customizable, but I could see how the option to leave a note would be handy.

  You mentioned before "I could see how the option to leave a note would be handy". We would like to write a note with the reason why a student was absent or marked as 'excused'.

  @Wilhelm - I'd recommend requesting that feature. It's come up a few times, but I don't think there's a request for just attendance notes specifically.
