This feature is necessary so that online registration is CLOSED prior to the Add/Drop Date. The End Date Online Registration will be prior to the Start Date of the term.
This feature will allow Academics to review class size and potentially increase class size or cancel classes based on enrollment at the End Date Online Registration.

I just read the details of this request. Our college registration process requires this feature, so that we can set a closing date for students, but academic administration still has access to the registration tab and processes to make changes and additions, prior to and even after the Add/Drop date.
Academic dept. functional decisions are made prior to and after student online registration would be closed. Thus, a simple manual setting for a registration end date that any college may determine is an essential setting.
I just make sure I put a registration lock on all students on or before the "end date," which is relatively painless and quick. I believe that accomplishes what you have in mind.
This requires someone to add that registration lock for all users. But I'm trying to organize this for a future date instead of doing it manually on a given date. Hence the request.
So I'm hoping that as the conditions of the Academic Term is created.
1) Start Date
2) End Date
3) Add/Drop
New) End of Online Registration <----- This could be added.
4) Grades Due
