Allow changing "self enrollment" settings for a class in semester, not just the catalog

Dear Support,

We have the case that students sometimes request in the summer to make up a class they missed in the regular school year. For example, a student either fails or does not take his Logic class in the fall term, and wants to take it during the summer and receives special permission to do so.

However, after adding this class to the summer term in Populi, the class is now viewable by all the students, and we get inundated with requests from additional students to take the class (early, for most of them).

I know I can turn off "self enrollment" in the course catalog for the Logic class, but this turns it off for ALL Logic classes in a semester, including the upcoming fall semester where we DO want them to enroll. So turning off self-enrollment for Logic at the catalog level is not the answer.

Can you add a feature to Populi so that self-enrollment can be turned off for a course **within an academic term** such that it does not affect the self-enrollment status of other instances of the same course in other, upcoming terms?

Thanks!

...Bruce
