With the recent integration with Zoom, our college has also added Zoom Rooms video conferencing hardware to all of our classrooms. In order to integrate Zoom Rooms, there simply needs to be an association of the classroom in Populi to a particular Zoom Room, adding the Zoom Room to the conference created in Populi. This does not change the ability of professors to create conferences "on the fly" with unique meeting IDs. It simply adds the "Room" to whatever meeting that professor is using for the class. This integration is imperative for our use in the fall! We are looking at having all of our classrooms be hybrid online/in-person classes beginning then. If there is no Zoom Rooms integration, then we will have to set up these meetings through Google calendars and avoid Zoom integration with Populi entirely.

Evan Donovan I would support this feature request.
We deeply appreciate that Populi has added Zoom integration. However, the current limitations of it mean that we are still using Google Calendar + regular Assignments to schedule our live sessions.
We don't yet use Zoom Rooms, but we have been considering it. If Populi integrated with it, I think we probably would adopt it.
Right now, we have different professors using different Zoom accounts, to avoid conflicts, but that can be confusing for professors and students - especially with all the feature changes that Zoom has been making lately.

Molly Jones We would definitely support this! When using a zoom room, a calendar needs to be integrated into the room. Since the Populi calendar already has the class meeting times on it, it would be the ideal calendar to integrate. Please consider! Thanks.
