It would be nice to have the Academic admin user or the Primary Account user in Populi to Lock All records older than a designated term. This designated term could be advanced regularly.

George Park - Do you mean being able to make it impossible to unfinalize courses unless you have specific more permissions to do so (This already requires the Academic Admin or Registrar role)?
Yes. It is another level of security to safeguard the data integrity.
Each institution can develop their plan, but for us we would lock it every six months. There must be very strong reasons if an academic record needs to be changed.
Not just talking about course locks. I am really talking about Locking records associated with a TERM. There is no reason for edits or activities. BUT if the academic admin or the primary account user needs to unlock the term, then it can be done. And relocked after whatever changes/corrections was completed.
