We would like to request a feature to be added to the threaded discussions. As of right now, when a student (or professor) makes a comment, there is the capability for someone (or multiple individuals) to reply. Then only one more level of replies is available from the original posting individual. What we are hoping that can be available, is the ability to go further with a next reply(or more)
Here is a scenario to help explain what we are requesting;
(Original comment post)Student A: The readings from this lesson......
(Reply) Professor: Great point student A, can you elaborate on that point about.....
(Reply to the Reply)Student A: I found the part about........
This is where the discussion ends. Our faculty would like the option to make further comments (replies) to a specific thread with a student. Especially when it is something they feel the entire class will benefit from. If the professor has a personal comment to the student and wanted to continue the conversation on with them about a particular subject/question, they would use email or some other venue. But the threaded discussion is the place to engage the students in the curriculum and the opportunity for others to chime in is important as well.
Could there be another tier or level (or two) for the threaded discussion replies?
