I would like to request that tuition and fees be connected to the Academic Year (in a similar fashion to the way Degree program requirements are connected to/defined per Academic Year). This would allow schools to set tuition rates for a specific academic year so that changes to a student's courses in a Summer semester are not adversely influenced by the setting of a new tuition rate for the forthcoming Fall semester. This would allow for overlap in student billing that accommodates early student payment for Fall semester courses and late payment invoicing for late Summer semester intensives. It would also help eliminate errors that creep in when there are changes to a Summer student's account that result in an auto-calculate where the Fall tuition rate adjustment is pending and then pulled into the Summer semester billing because of general financial invoicing updates where each student's account is not individually checked. Thanks.

Niklaas Schalm Yes! This is the sort of feature request that I wish I had submitted myself! I had many students for this Fall wishing their invoicing could be done earlier, but I had to wait until invoicing for our final Summer courses in August was complete before updating the tuition and fees to the Fall amounts. This only gave students a few weeks before classes to see their invoices, even though they registered months in advance.

Kristie Williams I agree with the others on this post. We also have the same situations and need the tuition and fees to be connected to the Academic Year. We have students that are registering now for next Fall 2021 and we have to keep their charges all in "Pending charges" until the end of Spring and Summer terms because they have different prices. As students can see the pending charges they will think their bill is one price but then, when we update the tuition rates for next year we have to change all of them. If we could some how make Populi Term based that would be amazing.

AJ Zimmermann Agreed - We are holding off on opening registration for Fall 2022 because of this. Our students will see one price on the enrollment agreement but have a different price once we update the billing.
