Early warning for failing students

I would like to see a form in each course that instructors can fill out with their assessment of individual student progress. A few dropdown answers for each student in their course:

Is the student at risk of failing? Yes/No

How many assignments is the student missing? 0, 1-2, 3-4, All Assignments.

Has he/she been participating? Yes/No

What help is recommended to increase the chances of passing? Tutoring, Additional Time for exams, Other.

If added to Populi, I'll use this in every course at midterms to help all at-risk students at midterms so that by the end of the term they may pass the course.

  Guy Mor - Just in case you haven't seen this: Populi has a flagging system for Advisors. Flags can be triggered automatically based on a few criteria, and/or applied manually by faculty.

  Thanks Adam,

  It's a good system and a good suggestion. It'll still be good to have individual course-level statistics and records. It's entirely possible that a student doesn't do well in one course and still maintains a relatively good record across the rest of their load. I think the flagging system can have more data points to report with an added manual assessment from the faculty level.
