When grading with a rubric, opening the rubric causes it to cover the assignment to a degree that it is unreadable. It would be excellent if the rubric opened beside the assignment rather than in a separate pop-up window so that the grader could actively edit the rubric while going through the paper. For a point of reference for how this could effectively work, look at the screenshot from Populi vs the way Canvas puts the rubric alongside the assignment for side-by-side annotation, viewing, and rubric point input. With such a detailed rubric the paper needs to be viewable alongside the rubric.
