We would like our students to be able to see the comments and replies in a discussion but not be able to comment or reply further after a discussion is closed. There is valuable information that takes place in a discussion which our students would benefit from having access to long term in a course.

Adam Sentz Bethany Potter - Closing comments doesn't prevent students from reading a discussion, just from making new comments.
