Allow students to add fields to enter in information like socail security number, vehicle license plate and emergency contact info among others.
Currently the students are limited to adding and modifying basic contact information like Email, Phone, address, and website under their “My Profile” Info tab in Populi.
It would greatly improve accuracy and efficiency allowing students to add or update additional information on their student record in addition to the basic contact info, for example, License Plate and Emergency Contact.
We would further recommend allowing for the institution to allow the student to add or edit content of custom fields we may introduce.
The current work around is to have the student fill out a paper form and our staff enters in the data into Populi or we email the students asking them to provide this information and our staff enters in the data into Populi. The workaround adds inefficiencies and risk of mistakes plus many students prefer not to provide this type of information via email.
