I can use student view in a Zoom meeting to demonstrate how to navigate and use the course pages, and save the recording for tutorial purposes. Here are the limitations:
- The tutorial has a banner at the bottom of the window with the exit student view options.
- The current student view only works within a specific course's pages, so that navigating outside the course, such as to the Library, no longer shows what a student sees, if the user has library admin or staff roles.
Ideally, I would like to have a demonstration mode that allowed me to navigate through the Populi website as a student would. It would need to have the permissions of an enrolled/audit student for courses without affecting the enrollment counts for the courses, which would be the case if I were to create a "demo" user and enroll it in the courses.
I would also use this feature on the first live session of each course to show students how to interact with all the elements.
