getDataSlicerReport filter parameters

Can you please expand the getDataSlicerReport API call to allow me to pass filter parameters?

I have a report created and need to pull the report based on different subsets of students, so I can then pass that information off to another application.

I'm told this will be "easy to do" with the new API that's deep in development. Stay tuned.
